ELMAG PROFI 1000/180 HD Universal lathe

The PROFI 1000/180 HD model is a robust, medium-weight center lathe with a heavy, vibration-damping cast iron base and machine bed. Thanks to precision bearings and a weight of 1,200 kg, the machine is particularly quiet in operation and is designed for demanding continuous operation. It enables a turning size production via slides up to Ø 210 x 1,000 mm. The maximum turning diameter is 360 mm. After removal of the machine bridge, the production of workpieces up to Ø 508 mm is possible. Also ideal is the extra large spindle bore diameter of 40 mm for bar stock up to 1 1/8 inch.

The PROFI 1000/180 HD is driven by a 2,400 watt motor, offers 12 speed and 42 feed steps as well as 128 thread pitches. A mechanical spindle brake ensures rapid spindle stop and contributes to good performance figures. The tank and pump of a coolant system are integrated in the machine base. Optimum safety is provided by a position stop to prevent lathe chuck collision, a lathe chuck protection with safety switch, overload protection of the feeds, a zero voltage release as protection against automatic restart after power failure and an emergency stop button. For highest precision and an efficient serial use of the machine, a digital position indicator from SINO and the use of a quick-change toolholder set are recommended. Both are optionally available.
