Super heavy duty power models, 7,500 watts
PREMIUM CU 500 models are newly developed, highly variable center lathes with 21 speeds and 120 longitudinal and transverse feeds. Thanks to a super-powerful 7,500 watt drive motor, they can be used for light to very heavy turning operations. The maximum workpiece size above the slide body is Ø 300 x 1,000, 1,500 or 2,000 mm. A spindle bore Ø 62 mm enables the machining of bar stock and tubes up to 2 inches (60.3 mm).
The CU 500 models are very well suited for continuous use, e.g. in series production. Both the spindle and feed gears run in an oil bath. Almost indestructible quality is offered by the gear tooth wheels made of hardened and precision ground chrome-nickel steel. A rapid traverse motor and an electromechanical spindle brake are particularly advantageous for rational and time-saving handling. A slip clutch protects the leading spindle from overload, a longitudinal stop for feed stop prevents lathe chuck collisions.
PREMIUM CU 500 models are equipped with a high-quality RÖHM chuck Ø 250 mm and with a quick-change steel holder. Further turning accessories such as face plates, steady rests and a digital position indicator from SINO are available as optional extras.
