The universal cylindrical grinding machine URS 3000 N is suitable for carrying out external cylindrical grinding work for workpieces up to 320 mm in diameter; the range of applications is additionally extended by the standard internal grinding device. This model is mainly used in mechanical engineering, mould and tool making, but also for small batch production in production.

• The oil film between bearing and spindle reduces vibrations to a minimum, thus achieving a high surface quality and precision
• The generously dimensioned table can be swivelled in two directions for conical grinding and set to the desired position by means of a scale
• Precisely aligned spindle head and stable wheelhead to achieve the best possible machining results in a wide range of grinding operations
• Due to the strong ribbing and generously dimensioned walls, the machine base is relatively insensitive to 
• temperature fluctuations and deformation
• Double-sided grinding spindle with three-segment, adjustable surface plain bearings
• The main spindle is mounted hydrodynamically, i.e. there is no contact between bearing and spindle due to the oil film 
• Longitudinal table movement either manually by handwheel or automatically by hydraulic feed
• Infinitely adjustable feeds with optional preselectable holding time at the end of each table movement
• Grinding headstock return either hydraulically or by handwheel
• Precision-ground and hand-scraped guideways in the x- and y-axis
• Longitudinal table guide and crosshead guide, one V-guide and one flat guide each
