Bernardo extraction with fine dust filter cartridge
Fine dusts, regardless of the source from which they originate, are considered hazardous to health. The very small particles of fine dusts can enter the body via the lungs and cause considerable damage. In woodworking plants and workshops, large quantities of fine dust are produced, which must be extracted effectively and reliably. With an extraction system for wood fine dust from our online shop, you can be sure that dust is extracted directly at the point of origin and removed from the room air. Here in the BHM Maschinen online shop, you will find various extraction systems with effective fine dust filter cartridges that ensure effective and safe removal of fine dust from the room air.

Frequently asked questions about the wood fine dust extraction system
How does an extraction system for wood fine dust work?
In principle, an extraction system for wood with a fine dust filter works in the same way as other extraction systems for wood dust and chips without a fine dust filter. This means that these extraction systems also basically consist of a powerful blower, usually a radial fan, which is connected to the woodworking machine via a flexible hose. The dust sucked in by the fan is passed through the fine dust filter and is collected in a large collection container / collection bag. The filtered air is released back into the room. Our extraction systems can be used for mobile, hand-held machines and for stationary machines.
When does an extraction system for wood fine dust make sense?
Not long ago, the legislator significantly tightened the regulations regarding occupational health and safety in woodworking companies. These regulations can be found in detail in the technical rules for hazardous substances. Since the fine dust produced during wood processing is one of these hazardous substances, it is prescribed that the dust be extracted directly at the place where it is produced. This ensures that most of the fine dust does not get into the room air. However, extraction is often not sufficient, so that personal protective equipment should also be worn.
Is personal protective equipment recommended despite the wood dust extraction system?
Yes, under certain circumstances it is advisable to wear personal protective equipment. Not all dust particles can be captured by an extraction system and filtered out of the room air. Therefore, if dust exposure exceeds a certain level, personal protective equipment should be worn.
It is now thought that certain types of wood, such as oak, beech, teak and mahogany, are likely to cause cancer. Chemicals and fungal spores adhering to the wood can also cause adverse health effects. These dangers can be minimised as far as possible by wearing personal protective clothing.
Are wood extraction units with fine dust filters available for several machines in the BHM online shop?
Yes, in the BHM Maschinen online shop we offer you various extraction systems for connecting several woodworking machines. Depending on the system, you can connect up to 4 machines at the same time and extract dust and dirt. For example, the Bernardo extraction system with fine dust filter cartridge DC 750 CF from our online shop is designed for connecting 4 machines. The dust is extracted by a powerful radial fan that directs the dust and wood chips into 4 large collection containers.
Can fine dust filters for a Holz Feinstaub extraction system be replaced by yourself?
Yes, you can replace the filter cartridges in our extraction units yourself with a few simple steps. However, due to the large filter surface in the filter cartridges used for our extraction systems, replacement is generally only rarely necessary. Of course, the replacement interval depends on the use of the machine.
