Magnet core drilling machine
Magnetic core drilling machines are special devices with magnetic base. They are mainly used in the metalworking industry when it is necessary to drill particularly precise holes. As the name suggests, magnetic core drills are characterised by a particularly strong magnet, which is installed as a core underneath the machine. This enables the user to attach the drill and drill machine to steel elements and thus to drill particularly precise holes. Anyone who chooses an ELMAG magnetic core drilling machine relies on maximum efficiency and at the same time safety when working with the core drill. And that in every performance and size class:
With the wide range of magnetic drills between 12 and 120 mm core drilling power and between 1100 and 2000 watts, everyone is sure to find the right offer - whether for DIY, service or outdoor use. The MAGPRO series is designed for small and medium-sized requirements. As is customary at ELMAG, the manufacturer's core drilling machines also come with a two-year warranty. Electromagnets are generally used in magnetic core drilling machines, but in some cases permanent magnets are also used. The magnet starts working the moment the machine is switched on and fixes the drill to the workpiece. On the one hand, this prevents the workpiece from slipping or being dismantled, and on the other hand the magnet even allows work to be carried out overhead, horizontally and vertically. The advantages of magnetic core drilling machines are therefore particularly useful when machining ferrous workpieces. However, magnetic core drilling machines can also be fixed to the workpiece without magnetic effect. Instead of a magnet, a vacuum plate is used, which sucks itself onto the workpiece by means of negative pressure.
The main body of a magnetic core drilling machine is the so-called drill stand. There the user will find features such as the electric switches for drill, magnet and right-left rotation as well as various displays. The cutting tool, the core drill, is hollow inside and has cutting edges both on the surface and on the milling teeth. As far as the drill chuck is concerned, magnetic core drills offer two variants: industrial drill chucks and those that can be changed quickly.
