Core drill set are suitable for core drilling machines when drilling small holes with a diameter from 6 – 13 mm. Significant advantages compared to twist drills are the Weldon direct chuck which allows for better stability as well as the two cutting edges which eliminate the need for a centre punch

Suitable for all core drilling machines with a 19 mm Weldon chuck, as well as on stationary drilling machines using a quick-change chuck. Drilling in pipes, stepped and overlapping holes (for slotted holes) can be carried out without any problems.

The advantage of core drills over twist drills is that only a narrow ring is machined rather than the entire drilling surface. This means that considerably less force is required. Furthermore, no pre-drilling is necessary, the drill core is ejected by the ejector pin. These advantages result in labour savings of up to 40%.
