Folding Machines
The swivel bending process is used in many areas, such as housing and machine construction or even automatic machines. Here the workpiece is clamped between the upper and lower beam and then brought into the desired shape by a swivel bending beam. In our assortment you will find a large selection of suitable bending machines for various applications. Folding benches are swivel bending machines, but unlike swivel bending machines they can only bend edges with a certain profile. Swivel bending machines can form a large variety of different profiles (also round bending) without changing tools.
For craftsmen, the SB bending machines from Bernardo are the ideal solution. Despite their low price, these machines enable high-quality bending operations. The universally applicable Bernardo TBS bending machines come with a robust construction and a foot pedal, so that the hands are free for perfect positioning of the sheets. For industrial companies, the motorized bending machines from ELMAG could be suitable, as they can be used many times more efficiently than the manual machines. Frequently asked questions about the folding bench or swivel bending machine:
What is the advantage of the swivel bending process?
Compared to the press brake process, production is much faster. In addition, usually only one person is needed to insert and remove the parts. An essential advantage of the swivel bending production is that the workpiece is fixed between the lower and upper beam and thus cannot slip during the bending process. A wide variety of profiles can be produced without changing tools.
Which swivel bending machine suits me?
In our product range you will find almost 60 different bending machines from Bernardo and ELMAG. For craftsmen, the space-saving, low-cost models of the SB Bernardo series are ideal, while larger companies are better advised with the TBS Bernardo models or the ELMAG bending machines. Inform yourself extensively and at your leisure in our large assortment in our online store. We at BHM-Maschinen will also be happy to advise you in finding the right machine to suit your application and price expectations.
Is manual use also possible with motorized bending machines?
Yes, the motorized bending machines from ELMAG combine the advantages of motor-driven and manual devices and can also be operated manually, depending on the application and requirements. You can see the many possibilities for a solution of bending forming.
What is the difference between folding benches and swing bending machines?
Both variants are available manually, but also motorized operated. As the name suggests, a press brake or press brake is a machine that bends or bends metals and shapes them into a desired shape. In most cases you have only the possibility to use one profile. If you need another profile, the tool has to be changed.
The swivel bending machine can fulfill the functions of a press as well as those of a bending machine. There is no profile that cannot be bent with a bending machine compared to a press. Instead, there are profiles that can be bent very well on the bending machine but not on the press. A large number of profiles can be produced WITHOUT tool changes, which saves a lot of time.
What are the weight and dimensions of the swivel bending machines?
The bending machines from Bernardo and ELMAG have different sizes, depending on the application. In our range you will find for example the Bernardo SB 305 bending machine, which weighs only 25kg, measures 510x280x365mm and should therefore fit in every hobby workshop.
The largest models, such as the ELMAG motorized bending machine model MHSL-S 1020x3.0mm, weigh up to 6750kg and measure up to 4250x1300x1750mm.
As you can see, you will find the right machine for every area and every requirement in our BHM-Maschinen Shop. Browse through our huge range of bending machines.
